DEPARTMENT OF ANESTHESIOLOGY & CRITICAL CARE

Anesthesia department is fully equipped with latest anesthesia machine (workstation)
, ventilators, NMT monitor, capnograph, nerve stimulator-mapper, difficult airway
management equipments like fiberoptic laryngoscope, LMAs. This dept provides services
for SICU, MICU, and PICU along with various operation theaters for routine and emergency
cases (surgery, orthopedic, ENT, Gynae. & obst., ophthalmology, neurosurgery, plastic
surgery and oral surgery). It also caters services for MRI and CT (radiology department)
and MECT (Psychiatry department). Pain clinic and preanaesthetic checkup OPD is
also run by our department. Various nerve blocks including gasserian ganglion block
(trigeminal nerve block), celiac plexus block, and lumbar plexus block etc. is being
performed successfully. This department provides palliative care for terminally
ill patients also. Department has a good library and internet access for most of
the journal. For regular academic activity department has LCD & OHP monitor.
